Who Are We?
 

Jacksonville Main Street is a volunteer-driven, preservation-based 501(c)3 non-for-profit organization providing a comprehensive approach to economic development that focuses on our historic central business district, its revitalization, and its continued enhancement.

The Jacksonville Main Street program is a team of residents, merchants, property owners, local government, and other interested citizens who believe that Jacksonville is a special place in which to live, work and play. Recognizing that Downtown Jacksonville is a vital part of the community, Jacksonville Main Street also realizes that renewal will not happen overnight. It is a gradual process that begins with small steps and small projects. As the program and local support grows, larger more complex challenges will be met. It takes continual nurturing to maintain and preserve a healthy, vital downtown area. Therefore, Jacksonville Main Street is not a project with a beginning and an end, but an organization with continual goals and objectives.
