Here Come the Brides
 

Jacksonville Main Street's 4th Annual Bridal Expo, held January 27, 2008, was a great success. Over 250 people attended, visiting more than 30 vendor booths from Jacksonville and several surrounding towns and counties.

 

At least 100 people came from beyond Jacksonville and more than 65 brides were on hand to peruse the wedding related goods and services available in our area.

 

 

Thanks to our dedicated volunteers who worked diligently with all our generous sponsors to make this yearly event a great success: Becca Bigelow, Kelly Carter, Parker Day, Joey Henry, Kristen Jenkins, Mary Pollock, Beth Racey, and Amy Ward. We also appreciate help provided by Illinois College Sigma Pi Literary Society members: Bryan Barchet, Kie Layne, Adam Logue, Jared McDaniel, John Rheinecker, Jon Valuck, and Travis Wilson.

 

 

The Expo featured another fabulous fashion show with products and services supplied by A Head of Times Grand Salon & Day Spa, American Rental & Party Center, Ashley's Petals & Angels, and State Street Bridal. Our other 2008 sponsors included Artistic Portraits, Casey's DJ Service, Hamilton's Catering & "110 North East", Jacksonville Journal Courier, and Krell's Quickprint & Advertising Specialties.

Over $1,500 in door prizes were given away before and after the fashion show, generously provided by our sponsors and exhibitors. Our sponsor World Travel provided the grand prize of round trip airfare to either Jamaica, Puerto Vallarta, or Cancun!
