This year, Jacksonville Main Street's Easter Egg Hunt shared the cold, blustery stage with the annual St. Patrick's Day Parade.

Nearly 150 area youngsters, aged 0-12, came to Central Park Plaza at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 15 to collect eggs, candy, prizes, and grand prize savings bonds in 4 age categories (courtesy First Bank, US Bank, Jacksonville Savings Bank, and The Farmers State Bank and Trust Company).

The Easter Bunny arrived on a Jacksonville Fire Department truck to greet the chilly egg hunters before the yearly St. Patrick's Day kicked off at 11 a.m. and passed by Central Park Plaza.

Thanks to our volunteers who made this event possible: Sheriff Jim and Pat Robson, Heart of Jacksonville, Carol Carl, Linda Moore, Bob Brown, Cheryl Petty, Bill Scott, Doug Logan, Deea Meek, and Dee Potter. Don't miss the fun next year... when hopefully the weather will be a little more spring-like!
